Hello, just found your interesting blog about aerophilately. I enjoyed VERY MUCH your comments about the German based items for the A380 flights.
In August 2008 there has been an Olymopic service of SIA from Singapur to Beijing and return. Pwersoanlly I fulfilled a friend’s request to post some covers from a temporary Olympic post-office at Aug 1st, the day before the first flight.
How a “cirrect flown” cover looks like in your opinion ?
(Your blog started later…)
Kind regards,
Thomas Lippert
PS. My personal interest is the aerophilaetly in connection with Olympic games.

Hi Michael,
I am one of the Captains who flies with Steve down to Antarctica. Last year we flew over the South Magnetic Pole on a 100th Anniversary flight. I bought some FDCs and typed some details on the reverse of them. All the flight crew signed them AND the closest living relatives of Mawson, Edgeworth-David and Forbes-Mackay.
I am giving you two of these FDCs via Steve. I thought you could keep one for yourself and auction one for charity. I hope you enjoy them.
Also thank you for the Valentines Cover you kindly have given me. It will be a nice souvenir as I took my wife on this flight.
