Another stamp from Poland tonight showing a Colonel pilot of the Polish Army and a PZL P7    The PZL P.7 was the polish fighter aircraft designed in early-1930s in the PZL factory in Warsaw. It was a state-of-the-art construction, one of the first all-metal monoplane fighters in the world.  Between 1933 and 1935 it was a main fighter aircraft of the Polish Air Force.  You can read more on the aircraft here  and the the Colonel’s career here.

The stamp was issued in 1987, SG 3128a.
